Its one of the best holidays of the year and even if you aren't religious Easter gives the gift of a four day weekend, which is better than any chocolate egg. (Though we are probably going to devour a few of those too..) Now most people pack up and go away on long weekends, but we've found some pretty rad things happening right here in Perth! So you don't have to go far at all (and deal with the horror that is traffic, or risk losing a whole bunch of demerits)
First up in an oldie but definitely a goodie, the Fremantle Street Arts Festival is back! We are stoked, with performers from all around the globe, the festival will showcase the world of busking, street theatre, comedy, circus and much more - invading the streets and turning them into stages. It started on Friday, but don't worry, theres still so much more on today and tomorrow! (Plus if you mention this post in our Fremantle store, you can get 20% OFF storewide!)

Next up is a fave of ours and an event we go to religiously. One Day Sundays at the Rosemount is always a good time, and did we mention its free?! Even better. This Sunday from 1pm they put together the winning combo of Australia's best DJ's, live graffiti as well as amazing food and drinks. This time it falls on a long weekend, so you've got Monday to recover!

The third is one lads around the country have been waiting for, footy season is back! The Eagles take on Brisbane at Subi on Sunday, and the Dockers play the Dogs in an away game. Even if you don't have tickets this is a great excuse to grab your mates, have a good feed and get back into the footy spirit. If you're not keen on the ruckus happening at your house then there is a bunch of pubs around screening the games live, such as the Inglewood Hotel, The Vic, The Leftbank and the Wembley.
Perth is great! As nice as down south is, you don't ALWAYS have to bail there whenever you get a few days off work. With these events and more going on in our great city, you'll have loads to keep you busy - and to help you work off the bodyweight of chocolate you're going to eat. (admit it, we know we will)
If you know of any other exciting things happening this weekend then let us know! HAPPY EASTER!
